SCENE opens inside a taxi cab, as it pulls to a stop. A young man named Rick (Small Hands) stands waiting on the curb, his backpack and a gift in hand. He has just arrived home from a trip across the US to 'discover himself,' as his (Steve Holmes) puts it. He gets inside the cab.
